- Primary Responsibilities:
- Achieve quarterly and annual referral and admission goals within assigned territory as set by the Director of Business Development.
- Educate and motivate medical community about the benefits of in-home care and the unique benefits of Alivia Care Solutions.
- Educate medical community on what are home health appropriate referrals.
- Educate medical community on the patient and Referral Partner benefits of referrals to Alivia Care.
- Initiate, cultivate, develop and enhance relationships with physicians, hospitals, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities, ACOs, payers and other Referral Partners or Network Providers.
- Develop and track time and territory management plan for complete coverage of assigned territory.
- Makes 8 to 10 physician calls per day as well as numerous visits with office and hospital staff.
- “A” and “B” doctors will be seen at least two times per month. Goal is to expand how they use Alivia Care services.
- Identify potential high referral doctors within territory and document plan to increase referrals.
- Leverage in-service events, formal and informal education events to insure delivery of Alivia Care Alivia Care messages.
- Maintain accurate record of all expenses and report to Alivia Care Alivia Care on a timely basis. Exhibit care in complying with government mandated limits on amount and type of expenses related to Referral Partners.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date business development records within assigned database.
- Validate all reported referral and admissions are reflected properly within Alivia Care records weekly and finalized within 30 days of the end of the month.
- Collaborate with other members of the in-home care team within your assigned territory.
- Back-up fellow Healthcare Representatives as needed for special events or vacation time.
- Maintain memberships in related health care professional organizations for the purpose of networking.
- Communicate issues that arise in the field with clinical staff through defined channels to enhance service delivery.
- Participate in organizational committees as identified that enhance the working relationships between departments within Alivia Care.
- Represent Alivia Care professionally at all times through care and/or services provided to all clients.
- Comply with Alivia Care policies, procedures and standard practices.
- Maintain the confidentiality of patients and families within Alivia Care as per government mandates.
- Use resources in a fiscally responsible manner.
- Promote Alivia Care through participation in community and professional organizations.
Improve own professional knowledge and skill level.
- Current State of Florida driver’s license with driving record acceptable to Alivia Care insurance carrier, and reliable transportation.
Any combination of education and experience that would provide required skills and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.
Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent required.
- Minimum two years of documented sales success, preferably in selling services to medical professionals within the northeast Florida area.
- Bi-lingual Spanish a plus.
- Strong communication skills with ability to listen.
- Ability to communicate and articulate Alivia Care services and benefits to medical professionals in a clear and concise manner.
- Excellent presentation skills for both small and large audiences.
- Ability to work autonomously but yet support the needs of Alivia Care and your fellow team members.
- Computer proficiency with Microsoft Office, customer relationship management and sales force automation systems.
- Track record of success at self-driven sales (preferably medical service related).
