Availity is looking for a Product Line Director to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. We will consider remote candidates with a successful record of being a remote associate. Reporting to the Senior Director of Product Development, the Product Line Director is responsible for the overall success of assigned strategic products or families of products throughout their complete lifecycle from inception through sunset.
To be qualified for this position, you:
Must have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in product development/management with at least 2 years of management responsibility.
Should have experience with modern technology architectures, database technology, virtualization, and the impact of government initiatives and HIPAA privacy and security regulations on system design.
Should have experience working with providers, health plans, clearinghouses or other organizations including comprehensive understanding of healthcare EDI transactions.
Should have experience with real time processing systems.
Should have experience working in an Agile and/or iterative development environment.
You will set yourself apart if:
You have prior Revenue Cycle Management, Clearinghouse or Payer experience.
You will be:
The “go to person” for the Product Owners on your team.
Working with Senior Leadership to maintain and tactically execute roadmaps.
The internal and external strategic product champion and expert for your assigned product(s).
Working closely with the Line of Business leadership, including the General Manager, scrum teams and additional Portfolio Directors and/or Line of Business Leaders.
Ensuring that product(s) meet these standards:
o Environmental Assessment : Collaborating with the Line of Business leadership and other Availity experts (e.g., strategy) to understand and articulate the market opportunity and necessary features of the product(s) based on customer feedback and competitive intelligence. Interacts with customers regularly to ensure knowledge of needs and drivers are reflected in priorities for the
o Communication : Ensuring the product vision, requirements features, capabilities, service models, business models, etc. for each product are documented, fully understood by all constituents, and prioritized.
o Alignment: Ensuring all Availity resources (including sales, service and technology) are properly aligned to deliver and monetize products.
o Course Corrections: Resolving/overcoming all barriers, road-blocks and issues that block success of products and monetization of products, including resolving tactical prioritization issues.
o Accountability : Creating accountability by creating/monitoring critical performance metrics.
o Revenue and Profitability : As the internal and external portfolio evangelist, the Product Line Director is accountable for overall product success in both revenue and profitability.
Leading and managing teams to ensure we deliver on commitments; ensuring that projects are completed and properly documented according to product specifications, timelines and quality standards.
Developing market insights by maintaining close relationships with the market for awareness of market needs.
Working with Marketing, Sales and others as they identify appropriate markets and develop effective strategies and tactics for reaching them.
Owning the Go-To-Market strategy and assisting sales in their interactions with prospects and users.
Collaborating with Market Research to strategize, plan, and prioritize market, product, and subject matter research that identify and define opportunities to support and grow business.
Monitoring costs and resource commitments and creating reports to ensure Leadership and Product Owners are informed on the financial status as well as delivery of the product(s).
Actively evaluating potential partners that could aid in delivery of applicable product(s) as well as actively assisting in managing such partners to ensure success of product(s).
Maintaining product budgets including monthly accrual and forecasts. Monitors costs and resource commitments and creates reporting to ensure the Leadership is informed on the financial status of the product.
Owning product metrics, progress, user experience and operational outcomes and regularly communicating outcomes against product goals to drive iterative improvements.
Coordinating the implementing new products/features into existing operations.
Driving cross-team innovation and enterprise thinking to actively seek opportunities for growth through product line extensions and workflows, geographical and channel expansion, or operational/cost improvements to existing products.
Ensuring technical feasibility, architectural alignment, scale and performance of solutions by engaging and soliciting feedback from the right technical, operational or enterprise team members.
