JOB DESCRIPTION
The Customer Service Associate is responsible to deliver world-class customer service to all retail customers by receiving and processing packages for courier shipment and operating copiers, fax machines, binding equipment, laminating machines, and point-of-sale devices. The Associate expertly advises our valued customers by providing accurate information on our array of products, services, and best-value options. The Associate exhibits confidence by knowing best practices as related to the Center.

The ideal candidate has previous retail sales experience, strong computer and internet skills, a high school diploma or GED, a friendly and genuinely helpful demeanor and smile, as well as a professional appearance. He or she must be a fast learner who makes an effort to learn all aspects of the business in the shortest possible time. He or she is driven to succeed and is a trustworthy and energetic team-player with ownership mentality.

The UPS Store is open Monday through Friday from 8am-7pm and Saturdays from 9am-4pm. Associate must be willing and able to work any of these days. We are committed to an educational, interactive workplace and are only seeking individuals with a deep passion and commitment to be part of our team and who will partake in an ownership mentality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Delivers outstanding customer service to walk-in customers and telephone inquiries
  • Takes ownership of each customer's needs and offers viable solutions
  • Communicates effectively and continuously practices good listening skills with customers, UPS Store team members, and leadership
  • Empathizes and manages demanding, impatient, and/or frustrated customers to turn a stressful event into a positive experience
  • Operates all equipment, software, and devices in an expert fashion and is willing to teach others
  • Maintains a clean, organized, and safe working environment
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Takes action to learn all current and new product and service offerings, alternative solutions, and industry trends
